Surprise Wedding at the Brighton Pavilion!

Occasionally we get to be involved in some really special weddings that break the mold and last Saturday was just such a day.   Julie and Les have been together for over thirty years and recently decided to tie the knot.  They decided to do things differently and not tell their guests that they were coming to a wedding!  The guests were invited to a surprise ‘birthday party’ for Les at All Bar One in Brighton, opposite the Pavilion.  We arrived early and had to spend the first hour or so pretending to be there as friends of Julie’s son Carl.  When Julie and Les arrived everyone shouted surprise and we got some great shots of people having a laugh at Les’ expense.  But then he turned the tables and announced that the joke was on them and that they were all now going to walk over to the Pavilion to see him and Julie get married!  Peoples faces literally dropped as the surprise worked perfectly.  There were tears and stunned laughter and more tears!  The guests were all delighted and it went on to be a great ceremony and a fantastic reception back at worthing.   Julie, Les and some of the guests are now off in India enjoying their honeymoon.

  1. I am Julie’s sister and what a surprise we all had. How wonderful after 30 years being together they decided to get married. It was the most amazing day and I can tell you I shed some tears of joy that day and I am still smiling and talking about all of the wonderful surprises that Julie and Les had planned throughout the day. One of the most memorable days of my life THANK YOU
